The support of Oriental dance movements in the pregnancy and childbirth process is currently being recognized. Adapted to the special characteristics of the pregnant woman, in the sessions, the woman-mother recognizes her new body that is changing. We become aware of our pelvis -door to the world-, we work with arms, chest etc. We are not only dancing with other women, also with our babies. Through the sensual movements, the pregnant woman feels beautiful and feminine, in the midst of those physical and emotional changes, enhancing the feeling of security and self-esteem.

In some countries such as Germany or Canada, Oriental dance is used in childbirth preparation programs because this helps the woman to regain prominence in her deliveriespower during the birth process. Awareness gives confidence by remembering that as women, we are fully prepared to give life, give birth, just as our ancestors have done for centuries and centuries.
